BUILT AROUND YOUR SPACE

Manufacturing & industrial
auto cleaning solutions.

Match routine floor cleaning to production shifts, floor conditions and access around machinery.

01 / THE CHALLENGE

Challenges Facing Manufacturing Facilities

01

Production continuity

Identify cleaning windows with the production team.

02

Material on the floor

Separate routine dust and debris from substances needing specialist handling.

03

Industrial traffic

Review forklift routes, pedestrian access and machine boundaries.

04

Cleaning accountability

Assign ownership for route release, machine checks and exceptions.

02 / YOUR ENVIRONMENT

Characteristics of Manufacturing Scenarios

Production sites can have large floors, constrained passages, moving equipment, dust and spills. The material being cleaned matters as much as the area.

  • Production aisles: check working clearances.
  • Transfer zones: coordinate with vehicle movement.
  • Packing areas: assess loose material before cleaning.
  • Machine edges: define reachable areas and manual tasks.

03 / A PRACTICAL CLEANING PLAN

How Gausium’s autonomous cleaners can help

01

A repeatable routine

Allocate sweeping and scrubbing to the appropriate floor conditions.

02

Match the task to the floor

Schedule routine routes outside critical production movements.

03

Support your cleaning team

Use an onsite trial to establish cleaning quality and service needs.

04

Validate the result

Agree the cleaning area, completion window and inspection criteria before a trial. Record interventions and service time as well as floor coverage.

Hazardous dust, chemicals and process spills require a separate suitability review. Do not assume general floor-cleaning robots can collect every industrial material.

COMPARE YOUR CLEANING OPTIONS

Automated vs traditional manufacturing cleaning

Compare the people time and operating costs needed to deliver the same cleaning scope and standard. Adjust the assumptions to reflect your facility.

Illustrative planning example — not a quote or measured customer result. The starting figures below are assumptions, not Gausium prices or guaranteed performance. Validate the cleaning schedule and staff involvement through an onsite trial.

Fixed planning assumptions: 30 minutes of staff support per cleaning day and AUD 3,500 in annual robot non-labour operating costs. Robot support time includes preparation, emptying, refilling, routine checks and manual touch-ups. Non-labour costs should include maintenance, consumables, energy and any recurring fees. Net upfront investment includes equipment and deployment, less any avoided traditional equipment purchase. Use a consistent GST basis.

Non-labour operating costsA$0A$3,500
Total operating costA$48,000A$9,500
How to interpret the comparison

Labour efficiency: hours released = (traditional daily labour − robot support labour) × cleaning days. The percentage shows the reduction in direct labour time, not a claim that the robot cleans the floor faster.

Annual saving: traditional labour and running costs minus robot support labour and running costs. Released time becomes a cash saving only when paid hours, overtime or contractor spend actually fall; otherwise it is capacity that can be reassigned.

Payback: net upfront investment divided by positive annual operating savings. This simple comparison excludes finance costs, depreciation, tax and residual value. It is not a full investment appraisal. Negative savings mean the assumed deployment costs more to operate.

Check the cleaning outcome: compare actual coverage, task completion, floor cleanliness and human interventions during a trial. Robot runtime, charging and servicing must fit the available cleaning window.
